Enjoy spring this Easter with a sensory tour among the silent witnesses of the forest; the trees. Together with our walking host, we explore the history and unique properties of trees through art, poetry and creative experiences.

A poetic nature experience for young and old
In Walking Among the Trees , we take a shorter route in the landscape around Esrum Kloster & Møllegård, which both children and adults can walk.
We’ll pass through 6 stops on the tour where different types of trees open up sensory experiences and surprises. At each tree a special activity awaits – make bark prints from the grooved trunk of the maple, paint with ink extracted from the crooked branches of the oak and make flower prints with the heralds of spring that grow up at the roots of the trees.
Along the way, our walking host will read out texts written by cultural geographer Emmy Laura Perez Fjalland that have been specially designed for the experience. Her texts put into words the nature of trees and people’s connections to them.

- Walk Among the Trees lasts approximately one and a half hours
- The route is just over 1 kilometer in easy terrain
- Wear shoes and clothes according to the weather conditions
- Meeting point: Monastery model in front of Esrum Monastery.
- There are a limited number of tickets for each tour, so we encourage you to buy tickets in advance via Billetto
- A ticket to Walk Among the Trees also gives you access to the exhibition at Esrum Watermill and Esrum Monastery. Present your ticket to Walk Among the Trees in the shop to gain entry to the exhibitions.
