“Join us for the opening of the exhibition Eye for Landscape a living archive on 24 January.”

At 13:00 we welcome you with short opening speeches where you can hear Emmy Laura Pérez Fjalland and Director of Esrum Kloster & Møllegård, Birgitte Meisner Nielsen, talk about the exhibition and the thoughts behind it.

There’s plenty of time to explore the exhibition, meet the artists behind the works and experience the sensory activities at your own pace.

At 15:00 we invite you to join us for a walk where we get close to the landscapes the exhibition is based on – remember warm and practical clothes.

Registration is not required.

The landscape is a living archive

The landscapes around Esrum are full of stories. People have lived, worked and adapted to nature here for 900 years – and the traces can still be found in the forest, in the meadows, in the soil and in the water. With Eye for Landscape, we invite you to experience the landscape as a living archive of stories, experiences and shared history.

Eye for Landscape is a living and changing exhibition. Natural materials are collected and processed continuously, and the spaces evolve over time – also through your imprint. You can touch, smell, explore and immerse yourself in books, activities and stories. The exhibition is created so that it can be experienced across generations with something for both young and old curious hands and eyes.

Eye for Landscape will become a permanent part of the current exhibition at Esrum Kloster, and can be experienced year-round.
