Gribskov Municipality has announced that a habitat assessment of the nature area in which Esrum Kloster & Møllegård is located must be carried out. Esrum Kloster & Møllegård is located in a protected, so-called Natura 2000 area, and therefore it must be investigated whether major events, such as the beer festival, affect the area’s natural values.

Gribskov Municipality is starting work on preparing the habitat assessment now, in order to clarify as soon as possible how events can be held in the area in the future without affecting the vulnerable species.

We are working intensively to find the best setting for all our events, including the Christmas market, which is a major event at Esrum Kloster & Møllegård. Over the summer, we will carry out a habitat survey and an assessment of the measures required to be able to hold our events. It is our expectation that we will be ready to carry out the Christmas market as planned.
