July & August: Landscape fabric

It is full of grass, flowers, straw and branches all over the place. Some catch the light, others hide in the shade. Now it’s time for curious little hands to collect, select and weave all the green around your feet.

Slowly, a small woven landscape emerges – bound by everything you’ve seen and what you took the time to spot and collect

  • Borrow a Children’s Bag
Pick up a Children’s Bag from the exhibition and head out into the landscape. Find a place to sit, look around and weave with what you find – grass, leaves and small things from nature

  • Make your own Landscape Tapestry
In the exhibition Eye for Landscape you can make a simple cardboard landscape tapestry and see examples of what others have created

  • Children’s tour
At 10:30 on Saturday and Sunday you can hear about Brother Stefan in the monastery cellar and follow his first day at the monastery. A fun tour at children’s level, where the senses come into play

  • Treasure hunt, nature playground and VR glasses
    Explore history together
