Esrum Monastery Beer Festival
At Esrum Kloster Beer Festival we toast beer under the open summer sky. Here we replace the hamster wheel of everyday life with a cozy sanctuary where the hops are the center of the party.
We believe in creating a community around beer. Whether you're a geek or a novice to the beer world, you're more than welcome. Here you'll go to a festival where we share our joy, knowledge and enthusiasm for beer with each other.
Tickets
We play quizzes, games and enjoy beer together, and we leave the vacuum cleaner, hedge trimmer and running shoes at home. We'll get around to that another day. Cheers to that!
Beer from all over Denmark
We celebrate good specialty beer! Today, a lot of small Danish breweries are emerging that not only brew excellent beer, but also have something to say and want to do something with their beer. You could call it a beer revolution in Denmark, where inspiring brewmasters are experimenting with taste and technique.
Meet breweries from all over the country. Taste their beers and talk about hops, yeast, flavorings and much more. If you swing by the craft brewers, for whom Esrum Kloster has a special place, you’re guaranteed to taste something you’ve never tasted before! Both the seasoned brewer and the curious beer enthusiast can learn about types of beer and the brewing process.
In the Monastery Beer section, experts share knowledge and samples of Monastery beers from around the world – Belgian Trappist beers, Polish monk brews and beers brewed according to historical recipes.
At the festival you’ll meet around 50 different breweries.
Food and entertainment
There should also be room for breaks, chatting, laughing and socializing. In short, the Beer Festival is more than just a “beer tasting”.
The Festival Square is an experience space on the green areas where guests can sit down among fun facts and colored lights for a break, a bite to eat, and a chat.
The food stalls offer hot and cold dishes. You will also be able to buy snacks from the stalls to take around the festival area.
In the big tent, you can experience a variety of entertainment throughout the day, and you can take over the gaming area with fun games in oversized versions.
We toast to nature
Esrum Kloster & Møllegård is beautifully situated in the middle of the Kongernes Nordsjælland National Park and exudes history and atmosphere. It is located in the middle of some of the most beautiful nature, which of course is also part of the festival. On the green festival site you can taste beer, sit down on a green spot and eat, or explore the festival site.
The Beer Festival is held at Esrum Monastery & Mill Farm, and it makes sense; beer played a central role for the monks at the monastery. The festival is an opportunity to embark on a world of flavors in a historic setting and enjoy each other’s company under the open sky.
